Matteo Bassoli is Assistant Professor at the eCampus online University. He has written extensively on civic and political engagement: two authored books in Italian, one edited volume on grass-root anti-discrimination policies in English and two on local governance and sharing economy in Italian.
He has also published on different aspects of urban governance, social inclusion and local policymaking in the following journals: Acta Politica, Governance, International Journal of Urban and Regional Research, International Journal of Comparative Sociology, Journal of Social Policy, Partecipazione e Conflitto, Social Movement Studies, Social Policy and Administration.
He is very passionate about political and societal questions related to discrimination where he focuses on questions of gender, Roma, migrants, religious minorities and the political use of memory. He is very familiar with the implementation of research projects as well as support and civic engagement projects. He is a volunteer and member on the board of directors for a variety of organisations working to improve the living condition of Roma, women and migrants.
