Alberto Di Gioia, PhD in Territorial Planning and Local Development, lecturer in urban and territorial analysis with GIS tools at the Polytechnic of Turin and research consultant, collaborates with the Dislivelli Association of which he is a member. Over the years he has been involved in research on the development and transformation of mountain areas, with particular attention to inhabitants, services and local resources. Among recent projects, he has participated in the research "Montanari per forza" on asylum seekers hosted in Italian mountain areas, the INTEMONT research on the exchange of resources between mountain systems and cities, and the project SIVal (Sistema intercomunal edi Valle) for the municipalities of Val Cenischia, winner of the call Turin and the Alps.
